About Del Edwards

I was born and raised in the Macarthur Region and still reside here today. I am happily married with two grown-up sons who continually encourage and inspire me.  The boys left home so now we have a cheeky border collie named "Dusty" and a smoochy poodle named "Louis XIV" (because of his hairstyle). I love shopping for shoes, curling up with a romantic novel, crying at the movies, going to the beach with the dogs, and dining out with family and friends (especially if there is champagne involved!).

Deciding to become a Marriage Celebrant was one of the best choices I have ever made.  My life has never been the same since I completed Certificate IV in 2010 and was registered by the Commonwealth Attorney General's Department.  I get to go to weddings nearly every weekend YAY! (who doesn't love a wedding? Right?) 

I have a background in administration and customer service, I have always been a 'people person'.  I've been told that I have an instinct when it comes to understanding what is required for that special occasion.  I love my job - really love it.  People are unique and surprising and everyone has a story that they like to tell and I love hearing them.  I help couples create ceremonies that express their love, life and beliefs and I love writing ceremonies that make people smile.

Let me work with you to craft a personal ceremony that covers all the legal requirements but also allows you both to be ‘you’.   Then you can just relax and enjoy your day - knowing that this part of your wedding is taken care of!
